The Story
Ask a subcontractor where the paperwork for a job lives and you usually get a list of places. The RAMS is a Word file on a laptop. The sign-on sheet is on a clipboard in the van. The near miss is a photo in a WhatsApp group. The waste tickets are in a drawer.
None of it is connected. The same job number, site address and client get retyped onto every document, and when the Principal Contractor asks what the team was briefed on, somebody spends an afternoon working it out.
FredConSol exists to close that gap. You set the project up once, and everything produced for it is filed against it: RAMS and their revisions, site diaries, hazard reports, inductions, timesheets, COSHH assessments, waste transfers, plant, materials, training records and carbon data.
The point is not any single document. It is that the records are connected to the job they belong to, so the paper trail is there when somebody asks for it.
Who It Is For
FredConSol is built for UK subcontractors carrying out package works under a Principal Contractor — from sole traders and small gangs through to growing firms with a few dozen on the books.
In practice that means business owners, site and compliance managers, supervisors running gangs, and the office and commercial staff who end up chasing the records. Most of them are not sat at a desk, so it has to work from a phone at the gate as readily as from a laptop in the office.
How We Work
Our Values
Built for the trade, not the office
Simple enough to use on a phone at the gate. Professional enough for a Principal Contractor to accept.
Connected, not scattered
Every record ties back to the project it came from, so the audit trail builds itself as the job runs.
Always improving
FredConSol is in active development. Every week it gets better. Your feedback shapes what we build next.
Less retyping
FredConSol drafts method steps and reads safety data sheets so you are checking information rather than entering it. It does not sign anything off — the responsible person still reviews and approves the work.
⚠ FredConSol supports document preparation — it does not replace competent planners, supervisors or duty holders. Users remain solely responsible for accuracy, suitability and implementation on site.
